Vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin)
Cobalamin (Vitamin B12) is a water-soluble important vitamin with neurologic functions.
How to Take
The RDA for adults is 2.4 micrograms per day (more is needed in some circumstances such as pregnancy). For people with homocysteine insufficiency, 100 mcg appears to be adequate. Vitamin B12 supplementation is usually around 1,000 mcg (1 mg) of supplemental vitamin B12 to people who are at risk for B12 deficiency or insufficiency, mostly older people and vegans, though this dose should only be used for short periods of time with levels monitored to avoid overdosing and potential risks.
